About Us

TBR and Beyond started as a passion project three years ago. We had the idea of starting up a little book club on Facebook that was completely inclusive, a safe space for readers, and most importantly, a place we could gather to share in our love of books. What started out as a small project quickly turned into something more – with thousands of members, tons of participation, countless book events, and author live chats… the list goes on.

We’ve been so lucky to be able to promote and boost so many incredible authors over the past few years, with a focus on debut, and marginalized authors. Our team keeps growing and we decided it was time to make the natural next step in helping authors by starting up a book tour company. We are so excited to begin this journey with all of you. Time to meet our team!

Melanie (She/Her):

Welcome! I’m Melanie, the creator/admin of the Facebook online bookish community, TBR and Beyond.  I’m from a small province in Canada, where I live with my three furbabies – Scully, Pepper and Roxy. I am the creator of the Facebook Group TBR and Beyond Book Club, which was created so I could share my infinite love of all things books and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.   The group has become much bigger than I ever could have imagined and we’ve worked with many authors for the past few years, it’s been incredibly exciting and fulfilling.

I read most genres with a particular love for fantasy, horror and thrillers.  I also am a huge advocate of middle-grade and am constantly promoting and encouraging other readers to give it a shot.  I am proud to say that I have been very successful in that goal.  I host a popular yearly challenge called Middle-Grade Mayhem, as well as a weekly meme called Middle-Grade Monday.

I am an OwnVoice reviewer for: Disability (Chronic Illness),  PTSD, ADHD, depression, anxiety,  fat, queer (pansexual).

Felicia (She/Her):

Hi everyone! I’m Felicia! I’ve been an avid reader since I was very little and now as a stay-at-home mom, I’m able to spend a lot of time each day reading to my heart’s content. I blog with one of my closest friends over at Stuck in Fiction. I definitely consider myself a lover of many different genres of books, but my all time favorites are contemporary and romance. I also love spending time working on diamond painting and puzzles while listening to audiobooks.

I’m an OwnVoice reviewer for Disability (chronic pain) and Demisexuality.

Candyce (She/Her):

Hi all, I’m Candyce. I’m a book nerd that lived in the US until I was 13 and then moved to The Netherlands with my mother and stepfather. I’ve been here since then. I’ve always been an avid reader. About three years ago I participated in a Throne of Glass readalong that bit a spark back in my love of reading. I’ve been trying to step outside of my comfort zone with reading, but my favorites are fantasy, contemporary and romance. A little over three years I started a book blog with a really good friend of mine, The Book Dutchesses. I love sharing the love of books. When I’m not reading you can find me with my cats (Shadow & Shasta) and my boyfriend with who I live with. Besides reading I watch way too many TV shows, play board games, Dungeons and Dragons and coloring.

Heather (She/Her):

Hi guys, I’m Heather! I’m a Canadian Bookaholic and a furmama of three. My favourite genres are Contemporary, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thriller (not always in that order). I read a mixture of YA and Adult, although there is a sprinkle of Middle grade. When I’m not reading, I’m teaching at my local college – which is a recent career change for me and I’m loving every minute of it. When I’m not teaching or reading, I’m playing video games (I love Mario, Sonic, and Crash, but I play recent games I promise). I also enjoy painting and crafting – again a more recent love found. You can find me blogging at Nine Bookish Lives.

I am an OwnVoice reviewer for: Asian rep and Queer rep.
